The Active Life

The Active Life is a recreational gathering place for independent older adults (55+). We offer a community gathering space in each city of Troup County – LaGrange, West Point, and Hogansville. These three facilities were designed to meet the needs of Troup County’s growing older adult population. The programs of the centers are funded through Federal and State Grants, the Troup County Board of Commissioners, the United Way of West Georgia and self-generated funds. The Active Life is managed by the Troup County Parks & Recreation Commission. Our facilities are open Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-4:00PM. These buildings may also be open late afternoons, evenings and weekends for special events.
