What kind of waste do our convenience centers accept?
The Troup County Sanitation Department manages nine convenience centers and three attendant-assisted convenience centers. Troup County residents are encouraged to use these services! Trash, recyclables to include metal and cardboard, and other disposable items can be taken to Troup County convenience centers anytime during open hours of operation, but please note that certain convenience centers will only accept specific waste items. As of Wednesday, April 15, 2020, convenience centers will suspend recycling and will no longer accept paper, plastic, or aluminum as recyclables. Please note that our convenience centers do NOT accept glass.
